I recollect vividly my work in the gaming industry a few years back – Christmas was very busy indeed, fending off DDOS attacks from botnets controlled by dubious individuals hoping to hit gaming websites at peak trading, which, oddly enough, was round the festivities as your average 30 something male tried to escape family company for a quick punt.
Doom and gloom I know, but criminals don't stop for Christmas and neither should your security efforts!
