CEO and Founder
Tim is one of the industry’s leading experts on cyber security, holding the Microsoft MVP for 3 years, and directing ISSA, the world’s leading association for cyber security professionals.
Tim founded 2-sec in 2011, to address the growing need for independent cyber security advisory and expert-led consulting.
His professional advice has been featured on the BBC (TV and Radio), The Times, The Guardian and industry publications such as SC Magazine and Computer Weekly, where he authors a dedicated column.
He’s also a sought after speaker on the security conference circuit. With CISSP, PCIP, CPSA, QSA and PA-QSA certifications, his 20+ year career has included global roles at IBM, Panasonic, British Airways, Lloyds TSB, and Trustwave. Tim’s consulting approach is frank and direct, offering clients a unique and valuable blend of business, risk and security expertise.
Luke leads business development, sales and account management for 2-sec. As part of this role Luke is responsible for taking new, as well as existing clients, through the range of 2-sec cyber security services.
Prior to joining 2-sec Luke has worked within the Cyber Security industry since 2008, starting initially as a specialist Cyber Security headhunter before moving into a broader role in business development. Luke has been invited to speak at several Cyber Security events and panel sessions, and speaks in particular on the challenges faced today by CISOs and CIOs.
Luke has worked with many clients across the UK ranging from defence providers, energy firms, retail brands and technology services, as well as across the financial services industry.
Salvatore is a successful serial entrepreneur who is now channeling his expertise and experience into being a board advisor for growing and innovative technology companies like 2-sec.
Salvatore has an in-depth experience of working within in partnership with the SME sector: He is co-founder of Boardroom Excellence, a SaaS professional services portal for the SME sector and is regularly invited to speak at SME forums, At 2-sec, Salvatore is responsible for the company’s vision and strategic direction. With his 25 years of board level experience, Salvatore is an invaluable addition to our team.
The 2-sec Team
David’s expertise centres around delivering collaborative data security solutions to high-end corporate clients, and innovative ideas into the payments space. David plays a pivotal role in 2-sec’s PCI DSS activities – he is one of our lead trainers and has performed dozens of onsite PCI DSS assessments for us throughout the world.
With his aptitude for simplifying security into easily understood terminology, he is a sought after industry speaker and contributor to the IT security press. Events he has presented at include Infosec, PCI London and Travel 2020. Prior to working with 2-sec, he was Director of Delivery for Trustwave where he managed the delivery of security consulting services. Accreditations held by David include CISSP, CISA, PCIP and he was a Qualified Security Assessor until 2013.
Head of Physical Security Consulting
Chris is responsible for our physical security assessments and penetration testing exercises. Chris has an impressive career history in cyber security. He is ex-head of NaCTSO, the UK’s National Counter Terrorism Security Office where he was responsible for training, accrediting, tasking and coordinating over 250 Counter Terrorism Security Advisors across the UK.
He is a true pioneer in the IT security industry having developed global security awareness initiatives, such as Project ARGUS and Know Your Customer (KYC). Chris is a sought after industry speaker. He typically delivers over 30 keynote speeches a year at major international conferences including ASIS, ISSA, MEI, CSO Summit and Counter Terror Expo over the past year; with regular TV and radio appearances. Out of hours, Chris plays cricket, tennis and squash.
Senior Penetration Tester
Michael brings to 2-sec more than a decade of expertise in information security testing. At 2-sec, Michael undertakes a wide range of information security testing including infrastructure and web application security tests, runtime analysis and social engineering. He is an active member of the security testing community. His research work has been featured in publications such as in The Register, Network Security, Heise Security, Motherboard and InformIT publications. Speaking engagements include at HackFest, Financial Services Technology and ISSA UK.
Michael holds a BA in Information and Communications from Manchester Metropolitan University. In his spare time, Michael enjoys creative interests – he is a keen writer and poet, with many published works.
Anthony is part of the technical team at 2-sec, delivering on customer projects such as Penetration Testing and Cyber Essentials.
He is also elected to the board of the ISSA-UK Chapter where he serves as Vice President of Academia.
Anthony holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Surrey.
In his spare time Anthony likes to cycle, watch live music and spend time with his family.
Sarah’s role at 2-sec is focused on growing and maintaining relationships with our clients and ensuring work is delivered on time and to their requirements. She is also responsible for new business development, customer communications and for creating and implementing bespoke events and promotional opportunities for 2-sec.
Sarah moved into the cyber security sector after working for over 10 years in marketing and operations roles within the pharmaceuticals, logistics and property sectors.
Ray has over 20 years experience in information security, and specialises in strategic leadership and driving cyber security improvement plans through to completion. His focus is on telecommunications and technology businesses.
Kate has specialised in Information Security and Technology Risk for fifteen years. As Global Security Director at Aviva Insurance, her remit covered Information Security, Cyber Security, Physical Security, Business Continuity and Health & Safety. Kate defined the security strategy, developed the transformation programme and restructured the organisation of circa 120 personnel.
Previously, Kate held senior roles at RBS, including Head of Security Governance & Strategy for the Investment Bank, and Global Compliance Manager within Technology Services.
